Wicklow's Way - The Cove (Pink Lotus)
Be Kind To Your Light
The Pink Lotus reminds us and symbolizes the journey from darkness to light.
The Cove
The Cove is our place of community and refuge where we can rest, recover and dip into the ocean and enjoy the healing of the fresh salt water.
There are two main beaches in Greystones – the shingled North Beach beside the harbour, and the sand and stone South Beach at the southern end of the town. Greystones gets its name from the kilometre-long stretch of grey stones that separates the two.
However, one place many locals flock to is the little inlet formerly known asLady’s Coveand now just simplyThe Cove. Situated between the two beaches mentioned above this has become a hub for all sea swimmers and sunbathers alike. One thing that makes The Cove truly stand out is the jaw-dropping setting. Any time of day this is a magical place but if you happen to be there for either sunrise or sunset then you will understand why people love it here so much. Looking out across the sea, you can take in the views of nearby Bray Head all the way across Dublin Bay to Howth, while behind you stands the beautiful Wicklow Mountains.
