Be Kind To Your Journey

Oud in spirituality symbolises the start of a spiritual journey. Listen to your heart and it will show you the way.... We named this Wicklow’s Way instead of The Wicklow Way as we wanted to celebrate all landmarks of Wicklow that are sacred to us. Nevertheless, we thought long and hard about what scent would honour the famously beautiful and deeply spiritual journey of the Wicklow Way, we chose our absolute favourite essence of Oud. This perfect blend of Oud enlightens the senses and generates a euphoric recall. Wicklow is famous for its dramatic beauty thanks to the peaceful nature of the Wicklow mountains and valley, and the breath taking scenery along its coastline.

Wicklow's Way

Created in 1980, the Wicklow Way is Ireland's first signposted, long-distance hiking trail and was the brainchild of J.B Malone. Prior to this, Wicklow already boasted St Kevin’s Way, whose pilgrimage is centuries old and connects with the Wicklow Way at Glendalough.

Oud

Thought to alleviate pain, oud is considered to have analgesic anti-inflammatory properties which could be beneficial to sufferers of arthritis, it can help to remove toxins and reduce swelling. One of the major reasons for its popularity is that the scent of oud is unlike any other, it is noted for being pungent and musky. This incredible hand-rolled blend is utterly divine to experience.

Oud has a strong, mystical smell and is known for its spiritual and psychological benefits. It is essentially popular for its calming properties. Moreover, it is known to remove the negative and destructive energies that surround the human aura. Oud in spirituality symbolises the start of a spiritual journey which fits so well for our Wicklow way as the pilgrim explores the inner and outer journey. The aroma of oud exudes a sense of opulence, luxury and comfort. The aroma is often described as the feeling of a cosy blanket or the peace found in a forest clearing.

"May the Irish hills caress you. May her lakes and rivers bless you." Unknown
